The New York Real Estate Journal hosted the 2nd annual Future of Long Island Commercial Real Estate Summit with AIP as the partners. The Future of LI CRE Summit was founded by Ron Koenigsberg, CCIM, and the NYREJ. The goal of this summit is to inform and discuss local trending topics in the commercial real estate.
Future of Long Island Commercial Real Estate Topics – First Panel
This event gives all real estate professionals including owners, investors, brokers, and associates much needed insight into the Long Island markets.
The first topic discussed in the panel were updates on the various markets. This included the retail, industrial, office, and multifamily markets. Other topics regarded the best investment classes for the future, outlook on development, various tax incentives for CRE professionals, and the reshaping of the retail market with e-commerce and Amazon.

The second panel divulged a wealth of information regarding recent commercial real estate technology trends.
Collecting and organizing data is now imperative to remaining competitive in commercial real estate. Focused in this panel was the importance of collecting, using, or sharing data among CRE brokers and investors. In addition, speakers discussed how using data can create a better tenant and user experience. Lastly, the need for utilizing solar power energy to maximize energy and costs was also a big topic.
